With the legacy of old fortresses, trols and Vikings, we, like other Norwegian metal bands before us, raised up from fjords, mountains and Norwegian woods. We have the roots, and we have the guts. We rose up with pride January 2006, and started working hard from first beat. The first thing we did was to enter The Emergenza Music Festival, and by the 18 of March we had about 5 songs ready, and went second, in step one at Gamla. Now we had the taste of blood and wanted to go all the way, and started working on new songs to play at John Dee the 15 of May. We went and we did, and we went straight to first place. We now felt we had some strong songs, so the job now where to polish them and make them ready for Betong the 23 of June. We continued to write new songs, and have now about an hour, hour and a half of very strong material. We where now getting requests from local arenas to play shows. We where do to play a couple gigs before Betong, but they were canceled because of some date problems with us going to the studio to record our first demo. We recorded "Fighter" and "Broken Brain" not to pleased with the result, but still the first MECALIMB demo. (Bouth doing well at Garage band ) We are a hard working band, and we all contribute with material, but we are also the best of friends. Some of us have known etch-other for 17 years. Torben, Johnny, Raymon and Ole, have played together on and of for 1 year, but we where missing the X factor. He came along January 2006, and MECALIMB got the kick ass drummer they always wanted. We started from scratch, and we all contributed to the strong material we are presenting at The Emergenza Music Festival. Our next goal now is to go all the way to the top at the Emergenza Music Festival, get the kick, and get the glory. This has already been a fun spring. Entering The Emergenza Music Festival, has given us the opportunity to play on some of the finest venues in Norway. Now all we need is a record deal and we`r of.
